New Smart Meters Coming to the WTCPUA

We’ve got some great news for our customers! The West Travis County Public Utility Agency (WTCPUA) is rolling out brand-new smart water meters as part of an investment in technology to make managing your water usage easier and more efficient.

These smart meters will allow you to track your water consumption in real time—right from your computer or smartphone. With this new system, you’ll be able to see exactly how much water you’re using, spot potential leaks early, and even receive alerts if something unusual happens. Plus, this technology can help you save money by giving you the insights you need to control your water usage more effectively.

What does this mean for you?

- Track Your Water Usage in Real Time: The new smart meters will provide you with detailed, up-to-the-minute information on how much water you’re using. This means you can easily see if you’re using more water than usual, and make adjustments to reduce consumption.

- Leak Detection Alerts: No one likes a surprise water bill caused by a hidden leak. With the new system, you’ll get instant notifications if there’s a possible leak or unusual usage patterns, so you can take action before it becomes a bigger problem.

- No Installation Required: The smart meters will be installed at no cost to you, and there’s no need for you to schedule anything—our team will handle everything for you.

- Helps Save Money: By staying on top of your water usage and getting early alerts for leaks, you could potentially save money on your monthly water bills. It’s an easy way to keep your water costs in check while using resources responsibly.
